Q: "What is the connection from the Leads to Opps in the Demand Waterfall?"

A: The Demand Waterfall is showing separate counts of Leads and Opps. With Multi-Touch attribution, Marketing Channels contribute to a portion of the Lead and the Opp. So one Marketing Channel that generated one Lead, does not necessarily create one Opportunity.

If you want to show the number of Opps generated from a set of Leads for a certain time frame, you can run a Leads with Converted Lead information report inside of Salesforce.
